Bronxville Garden Tour June 8th

Sunday, June 8th 2014, from noon to 4:00 PM, the Bronxville Beautification Council will once again open the garden gates to some of the Village’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.  This year, in celebration of Eastchester 350, the Garden Tour will include properties in Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.  This year transportation between houses will be available, courtesy of the Tuckahoe Trolley, The tour will feature a wide variety of gardening styles and inventive garden designs.  Docents will be available at each of the designated gardens to answer questions and direct visitors to special points of interest (the specific addresses will not be provided to the public until the day of the tour).  Following the tour will be a wine and cheese party in one of the local gardens.    Rain or shine come out and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.  Tickets are $20.00, and available at a number of merchants in Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester.  On the day of the tour, tickets and maps will be available at Bronxville Village Hall, beginning at 11:30 AM.

Proceeds from the Garden Tour are reinvested in Bronxville Beautification Council projects, such as the on-going restoration of the Village Train Station Plaza, and their new project, the area in front of the Bronxville Post Office.  They are also behind the beautiful work at the Fountain Oval, the annual plantings throughout the Village, floral baskets in the Central Business District and maintenance of the green spaces that give our Village its unique and charming character.

So, make a date to keep Bronxville beautiful.  Don’t miss the Bronxville Beautification Council’s Garden Tour, June 8th!
