Martin Bonventre takes to the stage in the Family Theatre Company’s upcoming production of THE MUSIC MAN at the Westchester Broadway Theatre, July 5th through August 26th. Martin Bonventre plays the role of Olin Britt in the Barbershop Quartet in the classic musical.

Based on a story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey, THE MUSIC MAN, became a hitin 1957 on Broadway, winning five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, andrunning for 1,375 performances. The cast album won the first Grammy Award for Best Original Cast Album and was number one on the Billboard charts for 245 weeks. The show's success led to a popular 1962 film adaptation, a 2003 television remake, and a secondBroadway revival in 2000.
THE MUSIC MAN at the Westchester Broadway Theatre is directed by John J. Fanelli of The Family Theatre Company and is next in his long line of classic Broadway shows featuring regional talent. Prior to his role as Olin Britt, Bonventre has been performing in cabarets in NYC, singing songs from the Great American Songbook. He has also recorded an album titled I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight that features standards from the Great American Songbook as well as fresh newtakes onsongs from the ‘50s to the 90s.
