Bronxville Today: Open Mic Night; Storytime; Team Challenge

The Bronxville Library is hosting Storytime and Craft for children ages three and up at 4 p.m until 5 p.m. Come and listen to a themed story in the Children’s Room, followed by a cut and paste craft in the Yeager Room. The Digital Arts Experience, located in White Plains, will hold its first Open Mic Night tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. To RSVP or if you would like to perform, email info@thedae.com. There will be an Information Meeting tonight regarding Team Challenge, a half-marathon training program. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on 30 Glenn Street, Suite 407 in White Plains, and is free. As a part of Team Challenge, you can get fit, make friends, and change the lives of others. Team Challenge is the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s endurance training and fundraising program. This season, the team will be heading to Las Vegas. Train locally for 15 weeks before walking/running the famous Vegas strip at night in November. To register for the meeting, visit  http://ccteamchallenge.force.com/. Visit Ridge Hill in Yonkers today to attend Frannie’s Goodie Shop’s Grand Opening. Kids will receive a complimentary cotton candy from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and one lucky child will receive a FroYo party to enjoy with 10 friends. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and other dignitaries will help Frannie’s owners Frannie and Isi Alabanese cut the ribbon and have some fun.
