5 things to know to start your day.

1. 'Create Your Weight' Program at Lawrence Hospital Center: Create Your Weight is a 10-week, multifaceted adult weight management program that is scientifically based. The class is taught by Registered Dietitian Katie Campbell who focuses on the three most important aspects for long term, successful weight loss: education, physical activity and behavior change. The class will meet every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lawrence Hospital Center. To get acquainted with the program, there is a free introductory session on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Lobby Conference Room at Lawrence Hospital Center. Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center Focus Seminar: ‘Facing History and Ourselves’: David Levy will discuss the Immigration Act of 1924, comparing it to immigration laws of today, and how communities in Westchester are dealing with it.
