On Friday morning, residents gathered in front of the Generoso Pope Foundation to welcome the Tuckahoe trolley to the Village. After various local officials, including Senator Jeff Klein, Mayor John Fitzpatrick and Pope Foundation president David Pope—who jointly sponsored the effort—spoke, residents were able to take a ride on the new trolley.
According to Mayor Fitzpatrick, the routes haven't officially been determined yet, but through the rest of the season and into the fall, they're hoping to work out what will be the most efficient.
