Sarah Lawrence Alum Takes Home Best Acting Award

Gary Ploski and "Objects of Time" Sweep Through 48 Hour Film Project Awards

Last year, we told you about a – Gary Ploski – and now we can say we told you so.  Which we just did. Tell you so.  That we told you. Err..

OK, so Gary just won best acting honors for the short film, “Objects of Time”.  The film was part of the 48 Hour Film Project, in which the filmmakers have exactly that much time to create a move from start to finish.

“Objects of Time” also won for Best Film, Best Directing, Best Writing, Best Editing, and Best Cinematography.  It also received the Audience Award, which makes sense because if the audience had picked something else, one might wonder if said audience was watching the same films the judges were.

Talk about utter dominance, we haven’t seen that kind of awards show performance since Titanic.

Fortunately, Gary’s a little more down to earth than King of the World James Cameron, so he shared some behind the scenes photos with us.  You can also watch a trailer of the film here.

Next stop is the Taos Shortz Film Fest in New Mexico in March 2012, and if all goes well, you might be seeing Gary and “Objects of Time” in Cannes.
