Westchester Woman's 'Wife Swap'

Pelham Manor's Yelena Zusin will be on the next episode of ABC's "Wife Swap" on Thursday, April 24. Yelena, who is said to be a Russian "Tiger Mom" will trade lives for two weeks with lenient and permissive Louisiana mom April Markiewicz.

Yelena lives with her husband, Oleg, and three children, 9-year-old Aiden and 8-year-old twin girls Elizabeth and Annabelle, here in Pelham Manor. Yelena and Oleg say they "feel American parents are too easy on their children, so their children's days are filled with lots of after-school activities, including figure skating, gymnastics and piano practice. Yelena and Oleg believe their children should be the best in everything they do and never quit."

In the first episode, when Yelena meets her new family, the show's producers say she's "shocked by her new family's lack of discipline and disrespectful attitude. She finds no structure or direction in the family's home, and thinks that April and her husband are lazy parents. Determined to get the other family's child out of his room and motivated to try new things, Yelena has him lock up all of his video games and replaces them with new, physical activities."

The Pelham Manor "Wife Swap" episode airs on ABC Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m.
