Dog of the Week: Petey
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: 2 years old

Bio: Petey is another Yonkers Shelter resident who has spent one too many summers there! Petey weighs about 55 pounds, is very friendly and a good walker. Shelter volunteers love his coloring (he has black and white freckles under his belly), and Petey loves when volunteers let me get in the pool. The only issue after that comes when trying to get him out!

Breed: Calico
Age: 3 years old
Bio: Kellie is a good-sized cat – she weighs around 12 pounds – and shelter volunteers say is a true independent girl. She is quite curious, although she does not enjoy being overly pet, making her more suitable for an adult home or one with teenagers. She has beautiful green eyes that will simply light up a room!
