2. The Brendan Gill Lecture Series with Cokie and Steve Roberts

Where/When: Sarah Lawrence College, Reisinger Auditorium; Friday March 4 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Presented by the Bronxville Historical Conservancy, this lecture series brings noted speakers and leaders to the community. Cokie Roberts and Steve Roberts will speak on “A Nation of Immigrants: Past, Present and Future.”

3. Randy Newman 

Where/When: Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Main St., Tarrytown; Friday, March 4 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: After snagging an Oscar this past Sunday, Newman will take the stage to perform at the Music Hall.

4. Hoch Chamber Music Series: Sylvia McNair

Where/When: Concordia College, Sommer Center for the Performing Arts, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville; Saturday March 5 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Grammy and Emmy award-winning soprano Sylvia McNair brings The Great American Songbook alive.

5. The Dances of the Baroque (Les Caracteres De La Dance)

Where/When: Hoff-Barthelson Music School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale; Sunday March 6 at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Step back in time to the sights and sounds of the Baroque period. The grace of the minuet, sarabande, bourree will be accompanied by musical instruments from the Baroque period.
