Labor Day is a mere two weeks away, which means it's time to start soaking in those last long days of summer. Here, our list of must-dos to make the most of the warm weather.
What: The Edible Garden
When: From now until October 17
Where: New York Botanical Gardens, Bronx
Why it must be done before September 6th: Nothing says summer like fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. At the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, spend some time looking through their vegetable gardens, watch expert demonstrations on gardening and catch one of their exciting programs that display al the beauty that nature provides.

What: Ice Cream
When: As soon as possible
Where: Pane & Gelato, Eastchester
Why it must be done before September 6th: As any kid will tell you, ice cream is synonymous with summer—a sweet, quick, treat to cool you down on hot days. At Eastchester's Pane e Gelato, experience Italian-infused gelato flavors like biscotti, espresso, and pistachio.

What: An outdoor concert
When: August 26
Where: The final performance of the Bronxville Summer Concert series on Park Place from 6:30 p.m. -8:30p.m.
Why it must be done before September 6th: This summer there have been a slew of outdoor performances in Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester—from the Bronxville Pops in front of the Bronxville School to the performances put on at Eastchester Town Hall to the Beatles tribute in Tuckahoe. Why not go to the last Bronxville Chamber of Commerce Concert Series? Sponsored by Bronxville-Ley Realtors, the concert will feature LFP as the headlining act. Remember to bring snacks or pick up food in the Village and enjoy the sounds of a local band.

What: Swimming
When: General pool hours are 10:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m. with the pool closing at 7:30pm in August due to the shorter days.
Where: Lake Isle Country Club, Eastchester
Why it must be done before September 6th: The pool will close down for the season on Labor Day weekend. (Although it might be extended to thefollowing weekend, so please check signs posted at the club.)

What: Outdoor film series
When: August 19th, August 26th , and September 2nd
Where: Depot Square, Tuckahoe
Why it must be done before September 6th: Sponsored by the Westchester Italian Cultural Center, residents can enjoy three Italian movies on Thursday nights: Big Night, Tea with Mussolini, and The Tiger and the Snow, respectively. The movies are free and all you'll need is a lawn chair. Some movies are in English while others are in Italian with English subtitles. For hungry film-goers, The Tap House is offering a prix fixe dinner on each of these evenings—$28 per person, 5:00pm- 7:30pm, reservations suggested.
